I didn't know

How good new stuff is. I woke up from hibernation, checked foxes tumblr and heard the spectrals - I am psyched to find out that early sonic youth/early flaming lips is what is happening. At first, I wasn't, but transmissions and oh my GAWD! flaming lips is amazing. Built to Spill. I am excited about life right now.

JACKASS 3D!!!

Beehive tetherball was genius.
Why so many bits revolving around football?
Shit volcanoe in the toy train apparatus blew my mind and really warranted it's replay.
Amazing.
Bam saying he was glad he had to be home at three - was that a "Some Kind Of Monster" reference/joke/reality?

I'm glad I saw this and the first thing I thought was - right, this is why I don't want to be writing about art - this is the good stuff it's not pretentious - it just is. Thank you Knoxville & co. for reminding me what it is to just be a person. Still, the editing SO glossy action and even if I think editing their punches that way is funny - the over production of something that relies on zero-production value, I was relieved when the outtakes, during the credits, were cut the way Jackass s normally cut. Spike Jonze's visual joke of pretending to jump over the speeding Lamborghini - nice.

these dudes are amazing.

minimalism for the masses

A few years ago I argued that "drop it like it's hot" is minimalism for the masses. I am sure that I am right.

trajectory of a musical life

If you don't find this funny - you never tried to figure shit out/be cool.

pop to philip glass. awesome. funny. LAUGH...
and the end of "knee 5" is amazing cause she wants him to be in love but he's a scientist... beautiful.

Is there an historical figure who was mute but communicated through song?

Think if Hawking had a casio keyboard instead of a laptop-ish device. If this is not real, this would make a great parody of a triumph story since the solution - communicating through song alone, is too poetic and therefore asinine. Amazing Oscar winner parody.

The score would rule...

On the Wonky Aesthetic

This is why I think it is so amazing in art right now - That's what America REALLY looks like. New Condos border on Chinsy. Around 99' or so every trapping only wealthy assholes would have to decorate their homes were made by pier 1 etc. so that everyone could have more styrofoam/plastic accouterments for their dinner displays. This is what it actually is. The confusion comes though, when reality starts integrating that aesthetic. I saw some bad photoshop work outside of a place called "Greenwood medical Center" If this is Johnny Greenwood's art piece - amazing. otherwise, I'm confused.

Aging hipsters acting like teens listening to Z100. THe key to this is KNOWING that you are 10 years too late.

I think this is hilarious
Hilarity Ensuing. Want to laugh? I will make you...

Bruce High Quality is an art cult

In the deepest way possible. Get with it.
Imagine a man so proud he'd build a monument to himself - that's all I have done.

By only listening to Albini - I am my art in a goofy way.
This is funny, right?
